What's The Difference? | LIE vs LAY


I was lying on the sofa one day when I wondered, "What's the difference between LIE and LAY?" So, I laid my laptop on the table and started writing this post. You may want to lie down after this.😆





The grammar rule is:

You lie down on something like a bed or mat. 
 (no direct object)

You lay something on a desk or table. 
 (direct object)
